Applications are invited for two Junior research fellowships in a project entitled “Fabrication and Submicron Tailoring of Materials for Photonics Applications with Ultra-fast Lasers” (Prn.SA/Photonics-UFL/2008) funded by the Office of the Principle Scientific Advisor, Government of India. This is a multi-institute project involving Manipal University, Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, UM-DAE Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences, IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, and Raja Ramanna Centre for Advanced Technology. The positions are initially for a period of one year, with possible extension of two more years. Selected candidates will carry out their work mainly at Manipal University but also in collaborating laboratories.
For the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), candidates must have a first class M. Sc. degree in Physics.
