Direct Interview (Physics) for UGC-CSIR NET JRF or GATE qualified candidates

Ph. D. Admissions for those who have qualified in

  1. UGC-CSIR NET Examination for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF). Please note that:
    • Only those who have qualified for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) on or after January 01, 2007 are eligible to apply.
    • Those who have qualified for only Lectureship are NOT ELIGIBLE.
    • Please note that you have to produce your letter from CSIR-UGC informing you of your qualification as JRF at the time of your interview.
  2. GATE qualified candidates
    • Only those who have qualified on or after January 01, 2007 are eligible to apply.
    • Please note that you have to produce the valid Gate Score Card at the time of your interview.

· Please submit your application or before 21 April 2009.


Joint Entrance Screening Test

The normal route for admission into the IMSc Physics graduate programme is through the Joint Entrance Screening Test (JEST), followed by an interview. For more details on JEST, click here.
