A PhD research scholarship is available for a grant-funded research project in low concentration CPV (Concentrating Photovoltaic) systems. The project will be focused on
(i) Characterising and developing statistical models for Singapore’s insolation (solar radiation) profile;
(ii) Developing effective diffuse radiation aware models for low concentration CPV systems.
Qualifications
- A first class honours degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or a related discipline
- A masters degree in a modelling related field would be an advantage
- A background in solar energy would be an advantage
